Active Participation

The LIMSC aims to bring together a wide variety of medical related subjects, with the exception of dentistry and pharmacy. All students who have carried out research during their (Bachelor and/or Master) studies in the medical or biomedical fields and who wish to present their results at the LIMSC are invited to apply by submitting their abstract before the deadline of November 12th 2010.

These students will receive more information about the procedures of application for travel grants after acceptance of their abstract The top presentations (oral or poster) will be awarded with prize money up to 1500 Euros, as well as the possibility for a research internship placement.

The students who are invited to present their research at the LIMSC can share hotel rooms at a three-star hotel, conveniently located between the Leiden city center and the conference location (the Leiden University Medical Center). Passive Participation

The LIMSC is open to all interested visitors. As a visitor you can participate in all parts of the Scientific Program - attend the presentations of the student researchers, learn about international research, participate in the interactive and challenging workshops, be enlightened by the leading international figures in research and possibly obtain ideas for your own research project.

At the Career and Internship Fair you can explore potential career opportunities by talking to representatives from relevant companies and organizations, and universities presenting a variety of Master programs, research projects and internships.

Collectively with the Social Program and the workshops and lectures by prominent international speakers on the future of medicine and (bio-) medical sciences, the LIMSC is guaranteed to be an extremely interesting conference, as well as an unforgettable experience.

Visitors of the LIMSC can book  a three-star hotel. Rooms will be shared with other participants. Another option that the LIMSC offers the passive participants is the Typical Dutch Student Housing (TDSH).
